SNAP-Education, Community Worker, Fulton County
The civil service employee will support the implementation of the University of Illinois Extension Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program (SNAP-Ed) as directed by the specified County Director. The Community Outreach Worker will work with local residents (adults and youth) identified for SNAP-Ed programming to provide basic nutrition, food safety, physical activity, and food budgeting education for low-income individuals. The intent of this program is to work in collaboration with SNAP eligible families to provide educational services, information and skills that empower families to make positive changes for their health.
This person will conduct basic nutrition, food safety, physical activity and food budgeting programs for intended population at organizations/agencies within the target community as outlined in the SNAP-Ed plan. This may include leading active cooking demonstrations and leading basic physical activity demonstrations for adult and youth audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of experience (paid or unpaid) in work related to the job to be performed.
SNAP-Education Program Coordinator, Fulton, Mason, Peoria and Tazewell counties
The University of Illinois seeks a creative, collaborative, self –directed, outgoing person for the Extension Program Coordinator, Family and Consumer Science, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), position with University of Illinois Extension. Under the direction of academic staff the position will conduct community needs assessments and implement appropriate intervention strategies for facilitating community and systems change as outlined in the SNAP-Ed plan, targeted for limited resource families and communities. Position requires developing partnerships with community organizations, providing technical assistance and working collaboratively with community partners, and providing direct nutrition education for organizations and families in communities within the target area. As part of University of Illinois Extension, this position will be joining a statewide and national network of professionals who look to fulfill the mission of the cooperative extension system.

Horticulture/Master Gardener Program Coordinator (full time)
University of Illinois Extension seeks a detail-oriented, collaborative, self-directed person, with good people, communication, and technology skills, for an Extension Program Coordinator position that will work with the Horticulture Educator to oversee the Master Gardener program serving Fulton, Mason, Peoria, and Tazewell Counties. This position will assist in coordination and planning of educational and volunteer opportunities throughout the four counties.
The staff member implements quality research-based educational programs primarily in the areas of horticulture, agriculture and natural resources for residents of Fulton, Mason, Peoria and Tazewell Counties as developed by the Extension Educators. The Extension Program Coordinator is administratively responsible to the County Director (who is administratively responsible to the Regional Director) and is programmatically responsible to identified unit Educators and campus based staff in addition to the County Director.

Agriculture and Natural Resources (Master Volunteers) Program Coordinator (part-time)
The Extension Program Coordinator will support and assist in the management and coordination of special projects and programs in connection with Master Gardener and Master Naturalist volunteer programs and other Horticulture Extension related programs for adults and youth. The EPC is administratively responsible to the county director. The EPC will work collaboratively with the Horticulture Educator and Master Gardener and Master Naturalist coordinators to carry out program duties.
