I’m Positive, I’m Aging

What is the secret to successful aging? Believe it or not, it has nothing to do with your income, being free from illness or a life free from disappointments. Living a healthy lifestyle, but also maintaining a positive attitude and friendships are just a few ways to age well. In this session, we will explore the characteristics of positive aging and making the most of our later years through discussion on ageism and how it affects those of all ages, as well as, the many similarities older generations have with younger ones.

Looking for the Funny Side of Life

When was the last time you laughed really hard – a hearty sidesplitting belly laugh?  Humor can be good for you.  Bringing humor into your life can provide both physical and psychological benefits.  Do you look for humor in your everyday life?  You don’t have to be a comedian to have a sense of humor.  This session will help participants look at ways humor can help them deal with stress and change in their lives.

Finding Your Get Up and Go

Most people find that there are some days when it’s hard to find the motivation to accomplish what needs to be done, even those things that are important.  Will Rogers once said, “Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”  Learning what accounts for the ebb and flow of levels of motivation in life and how to respond can help individuals be more productive.  This session is for those times when it just seems hard to “get going” and will help you learn how to give your enthusiasm a boost.

Someday is Today – Live Your Bucket List

Are there things in your life that you’ve wanted to accomplish but haven’t?  Are there personal goals that would bring you joy and fulfillment, but are always put on the back burner because “life happens?”  Do you say things like, “I’ll get to that someday,” or “When things slow down, I’d like to try that?”  If you’ve answered “yes” to these questions, then you need to work on your bucket list.  A bucket list is simply a list of things you’d like to do in your lifetime.  The point of a bucket list is to help you live your life to the fullest. Come and learn how to create your own bucket list and set exciting goals to pursue your interests and fulfill your dreams.
