Illinois Extension offering exciting cooking classes at Danville Public Library

DANVILLE, Ill — The Illinois Extension is thrilled to announce two upcoming culinary events at the Danville Public Library that will transform the way you cook and enjoy meals. Join Nutrition and Wellness Educator Rachel Mannen for hands-on classes that promise to enhance your cooking skills and simplify meal preparation. Both classes will be held at the Danville Public Library, located at 319 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61832.

Air fryer class

Discover the delicious and healthy world of air frying on August 15th at 2 p.m. Are you an air fryer owner unsure of how to use it, or are you considering purchasing one? Join us and learn to make crispy, mouth-watering dishes with less oil, retaining both flavor and nutrients. Learn how to maximize the use of an air fryer, turning everyday ingredients into culinary masterpieces. Participants will also go home with tips, recipes, and new skills to make healthier, tastier meals.

Pressure cooker class

On September 6th at 2 p.m., embark on a flavorful journey into the world of pressure cooking. Whether you're a busy professional, a parent looking to simplify meal prep, or a cooking enthusiast eager to explore new techniques, this class has something for everyone. Rachel Mannen will guide participants through the basics and advanced techniques of pressure cooking, helping you unlock the full potential of this versatile kitchen appliance.
