CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Get ready for a vibrant exploration of global cultures at Booker T. Washington STEM Academy! University of Illinois Extension is partnering with the school to host a spectacular Cultural Day on Friday, April 26th, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the school located at 606 E Grove St, Champaign, IL 61820.
Extension is looking for enthusiastic volunteers of all ages to help make this event a success. Opportunities include setting up and decorating activity booths, assisting with cultural demonstrations, supervising student participation in activities, serving food samples, and welcoming guests. This is a fantastic way to share cultural knowledge, interact with students, and contribute to a vibrant event.
This exciting event promises a fun-filled morning for students and the community. Journey through music, interactive activities, and delicious food samples representing various regions, including Mexico and Guatemala, South Korea, North Africa/Middle East, and West Africa.
