She is a Champaign native who enjoys focusing on enhancing nutrition, wellness, and related areas in her community. She is passionate about collaborating closely with local communities and organizations.

Drawing from her background as a former Community Outreach Worker SNAP-Ed, Vanessa believes in empowering individuals with skills for healthier lifestyles. Equipped with a bachelor’s degree in public health from Eastern Illinois University, she brings expertise in community engagement and program development to her role, striving for a lasting impact in family and consumer sciences.
