INEP welcomes two new community workers

Micah Walters and Josue Aguilar

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – University of Illinois Extension and Illinois Nutrition Education Programs (INEP) proudly welcome two new community outreach workers to the Champaign County office, Josue Aguilar and Micah Walters. Both will focus on Nutrition and Wellness in the community's Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program.

A native of El Salvador, Josue comes to Extension from Texas, where he worked for the Dallas Holocaust Museum. He is very interested in developing healthy habits and lifestyles. Josue looks forward to working with the community and teaching the basics of better diets. Outside of work, Josue is interested in history and likes exploring places with the self-imposed rule of never going to the same place twice.

Micah is a native of Charleston, Illinois, and recently graduated from Eastern Illinois University, where she majored in Public Health with a minor in Nutrition and Workplace Wellness. Micah has worked for local health departments and is passionate about the community that she lives in.
