OREGON, Ill. - The Carefree 4-H Club in Ogle County had a busy May and June. Members met on May 13 at the Ogle County Farm Bureau in Oregon. There was a discussion about taking a field trip to Merlin's Greenhouse to learn about plants and be able to take one home. The club's Program Junior Leader, Kodi Hubbard, organized the trip that occurred on June 4.

The June meeting was held on June 11 at the Snodgrass Jersey Dairy Farm in Oregon to celebrate June as Dairy Month. The farm provided a tour to the club, where they were shown robotic milkers, Jersey cows, Waygu cross-bred cattle, pigs, and manure spreaders.

The July meeting was decided to be held at the Rochelle Conservation Club in Chana. During this meeting, they will fish before the meeting and end it with s'mores.

All 4-H'ers are preparing their projects and livestock for the Ogle County 4-H Show held during the Ogle County Fair from July 31-August 4 at the Ogle County Fairgrounds, 1440 N Limekiln Rd in Oregon.
