OREGON, Ill. – The 2023 Ogle County Farm Stroll took place on Sunday, Oct. 15, with six farms opening their doors to the public. Despite the cooler temperatures, the weather cooperated, allowing the farms to show off what makes them unique and what they offer the community. It was a perfect day for a stroll around the countryside of Ogle County. Since COVID-19, this is the first time that the University of Illinois Extension serving Ogle County has hosted the event. There were over 130 people in attendance, learning all things from food to table. The farms had educational components, tours, demonstrations, and samples.

University of Illinois Extension in Ogle County would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s Farm Stroll a success. From publicity to farmers, we could not have done it without you. This event was enjoyable, and we can’t wait to host it again next year. We appreciate your feedback on how to make this event bigger and better the next time.

If you are a farmer who would like to participate in the event next year, please call the Ogle County Extension office at 815-732-2191. Please watch our website for upcoming small farm and local-food related topics at https://extension.illinois.edu/bdo.
