Kathryn Dombek is a 4-H Program Coordinator with the University of Illinois Extension, serving Boone, DeKalb, and Ogle counties. With a strong emphasis on 4-H Youth Development, Kathryn plays a pivotal role in delivering educational programming to schools and introducing 4-H to new audiences, including the Hispanic community. Her work encompasses organizing events such as the Special 4-H General Projects Day for Special Needs Adults, and arranging college visits for the Hispanic families.

Kathryn earned her undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Northern Illinois University (NIU), where she also obtained teaching licensure in Family and Consumer Sciences and Elementary Education. She furthered her education by earning a Master’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Counselor Education from NIU.

A lifelong resident of DeKalb County, Kathryn has deep roots in the community. She has taught and raised her family in the area, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to local education and youth development.
