Mary Flores joined the University of Illinois Extension in April 2009 as a SNAP-Ed Community Outreach Worker in McHenry County. In 2019, she accepted a role as a SNAP-Ed Program Coordinator.
With the sunsetting of the SNAP-Ed Program in 2026, Mary transitioned to 4-H Youth Development in Ogle, Boone, and DeKalb, where she will be focusing on bringing 4-H programming to schools and new audiences.
Mary holds an Associate of Arts Degree and Paralegal Certification from Roosevelt University. Prior to joining the University of Illinois, Mary worked at a prominent Chicago law firm specializing in Real Estate Law, Probate and Estate Planning, and Corporate Law. As the lead Paralegal, Mary closed hundreds of real estate transactions, opened probate cases, and formed numerous Illinois Corporations.
