Andrea Farrier serves as the 4-H Youth Development Educator in DuPage, Kane, and Kendall counties. Andrea works with both local 4-H staff and volunteers to assess local priorities and organize a variety of opportunities for youth to thrive and grow, including community-organized 4-H clubs, educational workshops, and after-school opportunities. She also provides a direct connection of our programming efforts to the community through partnerships with libraries, schools, and local organizations. Andrea focuses her programming on college and workforce preparation, teen leadership, healthy living, gardening/ag/food access, and STEM. She brings experience from different avenues of agriculture education, both formally and informally, and is excited to be back in Extension programming.

Andrea received a bachelor of science degree in Agriculture Science in 2010 from Iowa State University and her Master of Science in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications in 2023.  She joined University of Illinois Extension in July 2019.
