This session will look at current research which shows the many benefits young people gain from positive relationships with adults. Plus, participants will learn the elements necessary to build these relationships and explore ways to foster these in the classroom.
Teacher Tuesdays – Make, Play, Connect is facilitated by the University of Illinois Extension Fulton-Mason-Peoria-Tazewell Unit and traditionally offers monthly networking and professional development opportunities to educators throughout the region. These events allow both classroom and out-of-school time educators to foster peer-to-peer support while building a learning community around STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education for our area.
