STEM Bootcamp is going virtual this year! This means you will still have the opportunity to connect with amazing women in the STEM field and learn about careers in engineering, do fun, hands-on experiments, and learn expert tips on job preparation all from the comfort of your own home! There will be two weeknight sessions and one Saturday session full of engaging activities and information. The weeknight sessions will focus on resume writing, job interview tips, and a mock interview! Saturday's session will focus on the design process while doing engineering challenges.

WHO: Girls in 8th grade through high school

WHERE: Virtual - join us on Zoom

WHEN: April 13, 7 - 8:30 pm

            April 15, 7 - 8 pm

            April 17, 11:30 am - 1 pm

Students will learn about:

  • engineering design process
  • local STEM Careers
  • problem-solving
  • important resume components
  • interview tips

The cost of the STEM Bootcamp is $5 per youth. The camp is provided through a partnership with Society of Women Engineers - Central Illinois Chapter (SWE-CI), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), University of Illinois Extension, and Bradley SWE. Scholarships are available if youth are unable to pay the registration fee.
