For those enrolled in the 4-H Public Speaking project, the judging will be Saturday, May 15, at 10 a.m., at the Extension Office in Lewistown (upstairs in the board room).

If you want to participate, and are not yet enrolled in that project, you have until May 1 to add it as a project. Call 547-3711 or email jblout@illinois.edu to do so.

If COVID conditions worsen between now and then, this could possibly change to a virtual format.

Categories are Formal Speech, Illustrated Speech, Original Works, and Oral Interpretation.

All presentations must be four to six minutes in length.

More information will be found in the new 4-H Show Book. Call the Extension Office at 547-3711 if you would like a copy of the score sheet for a certain category.

The state contest this year will be held June 5 in Decatur. More information will be given to those chosen to go on to the state contest.
