Family heirlooms aren't always jewelry or furniture. For some, a family recipe is their most precious inheritance. The smell of fresh-baked bread might conjure memories of cooking with a grandparent or sitting around a table with extended family.

Illinois Extension wants to ensure your family has the opportunity to bake, share, and dream together. For the Love of Food and Family is a workshop for grandparents or parents and the children in their lives. Participants will bake bread from scratch and participate in intergenerational activities on heritage and family dreams while the bread is rising. Homework will involve a family recipe made at home together and shared via social media.
