
Showcase your projects and livestock.
University of Illinois Extension believes in giving our youth the opportunity to show off their skills and knowledge. We are partnering with DuQuoin State Fair to sponsor a General Projects Show and Livestock Show at DuQuoin State Fair. This will not replace local county fairs or the Illinois State Fair, and no premiums will be paid. The show schedule for the 2025 showcase includes:
Saturday, August 16
- General Project Show – Exhibition Hall
- Check-in: 9 a.m. | Show starts: 9:30 a.m. | Awards: Noon
Friday, August 22
- Goat & Sheep Show – Open Horse Stalls
- Check-in: 11 a.m. | Show starts: 1 p.m.
- Swine Weigh-In & Show – DuQuoin Swine Barn
- Weigh-in: 4 p.m. | Show starts: 6 p.m.
Saturday, August 23
- Beef Show – Horse Open Stall Barn
- Check-in: 8 a.m. | Show starts: 9 a.m.
- Dairy Show – DuQuoin Dairy Barn
- Check-in: 8 a.m. | Show starts: 11 a.m.

In order to participate, you must be a 4-H member in one of the following counties:
Alexander, Bond, Champaign, Clark, Clay, Clinton, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Ford, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Iroquois, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Lawrence, Macon, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Moultrie, Perry, Piatt, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland, Saline, Shelby, St. Clair, Union, Vermillion, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White, and Williamson
*A waiver has been received from the Department of Agriculture waiving the 72-hour livestock rule. Livestock will be allowed to come in-and-out in one day as long as the show schedule allows.
