Four wings, 5 eyes, and the most luscious locks in the pollinator world. Who else could it bee? Well, turns out there’s many bees in IL, and most are stereotyped by the honey bee standard. Learn about the vast, buzzing world of bees in your IL backyard with Horticulture educator Sreelakshmi Suresh.

Participants will rotate through all four learning stations for an immersive, hands-on experience.
- Station 1: Marimo Moss Ball Terrarium Workshop with Brittnay Haag, Horticulture Educator
Join us for a hands-on Marimo Moss Ball Terrarium Workshop! In this creative, hands-on session, you'll learn how to design and assemble your own beautiful, low-maintenance terrarium featuring the unique and charming Marimo moss balls. These little green spheres are perfect for adding a touch of nature to any space. Learn the step-by-step on how to build your terrarium, from selecting the right materials and decorations to properly caring for your Marimo moss balls. Take home a one-of-a-kind terrarium to brighten up your home or office, and discover the joy of caring for these peaceful, natural wonders!

The cost to attend is $20 and covers light refreshments and all the materials needed for the stations.
The event includes light refreshments throughout the day. Bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy throughout the campgrounds, or head down to Allerton's Greenhouse Cafe for lunch. Dress accordingly for being outside in spring weather and some light hiking between stations.
