Join the Master Gardeners of Peoria County for a delightful day at the stunning Chicago Botanic Garden! This trip is open to the public, you do not need to be a Master Gardener to attend, so invite your gardening friends, neighbors, and plant-loving family members!
We’ll travel together by a charter coach from the Illinois Extension, Peoria Branch office for a carefree day of inspiration, exploration, and fun. Along the way, enjoy garden-themed games, trivia, and door prizes to make the ride both educational and entertaining.

Once we arrive, you’ll have time to explore the Garden at your own pace, wander breathtaking display gardens, discover new plant ideas, peruse the Garden Shop, or simply soak in the beauty. We’ll gather at the Picnic Glade to enjoy a delicious catered lunch from Avanti's before a little more exploration and then heading home, refreshed and inspired.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just love spending time among beautiful blooms, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and enjoy a relaxing day surrounded by nature.

Cost:
The trip rate is $75 per person, which covers the bus, parking and toll fees, admission to the gardens, catered picnic lunch as a group, and snacks on the charter coach.
There will be water and snacks available on the charter coach. You may choose to bring your own lunch if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

6:00 am - Bus arrives at University of Illinois Extension Peoria Branch Office
6:15 am - Bus Leaves Extension Office
7:30 am - Wally's, Pontiac - Bathroom Break
8:00 am - Leave Wally's, Pontiac
10:00 am - Arrive at Chicago Botanic Garden - Tram Tour and garden exploration on your own
12:00 pm - Gather in the Picnic Glade for a group lunch!
2:30 pm - Head back to load the bus!
2:45 pm - Bus leaves Chicago Botanic Garden
4:45 pm - Wally's, Pontiac - Bathroom Break
5:15 pm - Leave Wally's, Pontiac
6:30 pm - Arrive back to the Extension office
