Colleen Hoffman

Colleen Hoffman is the Illinois Extension 4-H youth development program coordinator serving Kankakee County.  In this role, Colleen takes point on Kankakee fairs and shows, oversees club and volunteer management, and is often the first point of contact for the public related to 4-H in Kankakee County.

With a passion for helping youth find their spark, Colleen is looking forward to providing programming and support to help youth be Beyond Ready for life today.

Previously the Illinois Extension office support assistant in the county, Colleen has extensive experience in volunteer management. She was instrumental in implementing and managing the Illinois Extension Volunteer Gateway system and provided expertise both externally and internally.

Colleen is no stranger to the agricultural world, having worked on her family farm to support everything from field crops to livestock, and she has a deep respect for the industry. Outside of work, she enjoys tent camping, baking, and holistic health, the latter of which she is currently pursuing certifications in. When not on the move, you can often find her relaxing in her hammock with a good book.
