4-H and FFA fun horse show held in Fulton County

LEWISTOWN, Ill. - The Fulton County 4-H Horse Committee and the Fulton County Fair sponsored a Fun Horse Show for 4-H and FFA members on Friday, July 30, at the Fulton County horse arena at the fairgrounds in Lewistown. Judge for the day was Cindy Meldrum of Aledo, Illinois.

Twenty-one youth and 26 horses and ponies participated. Results are as follows:

Two-year-old and under, Halter, Horse or Pony – first to Aubrey Yarger with Aubrey.

Pony Halter, under 52” – first to Hannah Tindall with Button; second to Brayton McCoy with Murphy.

Pony Halter, 52” but under 56” – first, Aubrey Yarger with Star; second, Allie Ralston with Sassy; third, Autumn Corbett with Twister; and fourth, Riley Grebner with Candy.

Western Halter – first, Maggie Grebner with Peaches; second, Aubrey Yarger with AC; third, Aubrianna Putman with RH  Bar Chips; fourth, Trenten Kimbro with Paige; fifth, Paige Johnson with Junie B; sixth, Emily Porter with Kitty; seventh, Halle Tindall with Bo; and eighth, Taylor Johnson with Frannie.

Many area businesses and individuals gave of their money and time to make this event possible. The organizers are very grateful to those who donated money for the prizes.
