Have you ever wondered what it's like to embark on a journey in the exciting world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)? The annual 4-H STEM Career Exploration Camp (formerly known as 4G STEM Camp) is back - and this year, it's open to all youth entering 6th-8th grade! Hosted at Bradley University in collaboration with University of Illinois Extension, this week-long day camp is set to inspire and educate youth entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades about the vast possibilities within STEM fields.

From June 24 to 28, 2024, campers will immerse themselves in STEM careers through site visits to area businesses, such as Caterpillar, Jump Simulation, Precision Planting, and more! These site visits provide the unique opportunity to explore various STEM careers, interact with professionals in the field, try hands-on activities, and gain valuable insights into the skills and technologies shaping the future. Plus, they'll have the chance to connect with peers who share their passion for discovery and innovation, and explore the rich resources of a college campus. STEM Career Exploration Camp will ignite a spark of possibility within youth and help open their minds to creative and fulfilling careers in central Illinois.

Additionally, the Teacher Track will allow local educators to attend STEM Career Exploration Camp as learners and observers of how to work with community partners to enhance STEM career exploration in their classrooms.

STEM Career Exploration Camp will take place on June 24-28, from 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. at Bradley University. The cost will be $200 per participant, but fee waivers are available. Registration is open until May 31 to young all youth entering grades 6, 7 and 8 and can be found at go.illinois.edu/STEMcamp. Teachers interested in participating in the Teacher Track can find information and registration at go.illinois.edu/STEMCampTT.
