Do you value education, love gardening, and like to volunteer?  The University of Illinois Extension’s Master Gardener program is for you!

Master Gardeners are a group of caring, supportive, and nurturing volunteers who have a desire to learn about gardening and nature and to share research-based horticulture information with the public.  Whether you are a beginner gardener or experienced gardener, you can take the training course to work toward honing your skills while giving back to your community.

Class orientation and a welcome pizza party is scheduled for Tues., Jan. 21.  Champaign County classes are held on most Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning January 29 and ending May 6.  If the in-class option does not work for you, the next online course begins on January 20.  The deadline to apply for both programs is Friday, January 3, 2020.

Go to https://go.illinois.edu/ApplyOnline for a tentative course schedule and to submit your interest form.

We hope you can join our team of over 3,200 Master Gardeners state-wide in the mission to provide horticulture education through volunteering!
