Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)? The annual 4-H STEM Career Exploration Camp is back for 2025—now open to all youth entering 6th through 8th grade.
Dates: June 16-20, 2025
Location: Bradley University
This engaging weeklong day camp is hosted by University of Illinois Extension and Bradley University and is designed to spark curiosity and offer a glimpse into the endless career possibilities within STEM fields
Campers will get hands-on experience exploring STEM professions through engaging site visits to local businesses, including University of Illinois College of Medicine, Farnsworth Group, SKB Cyber, Peoria Innovation, and more! These immersive experiences provide a behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge industries, allowing campers to interact with STEM professionals, engage in exciting hands-on activities, and discover the skills and technologies shaping the future.
Beyond career exploration, campers will also have the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, gain confidence in their abilities, and explore a college campus environment—all while having fun!
Local educators can also participate in the STEM Career Exploration Teacher Track, gaining firsthand experience in STEM career exploration. Teachers will observe and learn how to integrate community partnerships into their classrooms to inspire the next generation of innovators.
STEM Career Exploration Camp will take place on June 16-20, from 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. at Bradley University. The cost is $200 per participant, but fee waivers are available. Registration is open until May 31 to young all youth entering grades 6, 7 and 8 and can be found at go.illinois.edu/STEMcamp.
