Fulton County 4-H General Show held

Hannah T. received Best of Show in Photography 2 at Fulton County 4-H General Show.

CUBA, Ill. - University of Illinois Extension’s Fulton County 4-H General Show was held Saturday, July 10, at Cuba High School.  Three hundred thirty-six projects were exhibited by Fulton County 4-H members age 8-19.  Approximately 70 area people served as judges, superintendents, and assistants.

4-H members' projects are judged conference-style. If the 4-H member is present, he or she brings the project to the judge, and the judge discusses the project with the member, asking questions and offering suggestions. This one-on-one attention and advice is very valuable to the 4-Hers as a way to learn more about their projects.

The projects are rated Blue (Superior), Red (Good), or White (Fair). Best of Show winners are selected in each area.  State Fair delegates and alternates are selected in most of the project areas.
