LEWISTOWN, Ill. - Ten Fulton County 4-H members exhibited their Sewing and Textiles projects on Saturday, June 19, at the University of Illinois Extension office in Lewistown.
At the Sewing and Textiles Show, depending on which project they have enrolled in, youth may exhibit either garments or non-wearable items they have sewn, or garments they have purchased. The items are judged for good construction techniques and fit, if wearable. They may also choose to sew a non-wearable item, like a pillow, pillow case, tote bag, or wall hanging.
Judges for the day were Andrea Hart, Jody Burnham, and Patty Wiegers. Exhibitors receiving Blue ratings were Washita Bradford, Victoria Cooper, and Ellie Huston in Shopping In Style; Zaya Peirce and Alexiah Thompson in Clothing 1; Aliyah Janssen, Paige Johnson, and Kinslee Wickert in Clothing 2; and Ilese Rodeffer and Katelyn Wickert in Clothing 3.
Best of Show in Clothing 1 was awarded to Alexiah Thompson. Best of Show in Clothing 2 was awarded to Kinslee Wickert. Best of Show in Clothing 3 went to Ilese Rodeffer.
