OGDEN, Ill – Improve your heart health with this upcoming class from Illinois Extension. Join Food and Nutrition Educator Rachel Mannen for Heart Healthy at the Ogden Rose Public Library (103 W Main St., Ogden, IL 61859). Class will be held on Saturday, May 16, from noon to 2 P.M.
Participants will learn about making delicious, nutritious recipes that support cardiovascular health, maximize flavor without sacrificing health, and gain tips for making a balanced meal. This class will also include a food demonstration of a heart-healthy salad for participants to taste.
“Many don’t realize how what we eat affects our hearts until it’s brought to their attention,” said Food and Nutrition Educator Rachel Mannen. “This class gives the community a chance to learn more about these issues and how to take care of their hearts by making healthy food choices.”
