LEWISTOWN, Ill. - Fulton County 4-H Clubs prepared window displays promoting the University of Illinois Extension 4-H program during National 4-H Week, October 5 -11, 2025. Fulton County 4-H clubs used the theme “Red, White, and Blue and Clover too!”. Five 4-H clubs created festive and eye-catching displays in Astoria, Cuba, Fairview, and Lewistown.
The displays were judged for originality, appearance, unity, and for how well they attract attention. The winning display was prepared by the Pleasant Spacemakers 4-H Club with their window located in Astoria at the Community Medical Clinic. Second place went to Smithfield Up and Coming 4-H Club with their patriotic display located at Jules Ice Cream & Coffee in Cuba. The 1st place club received $50, and the 2nd place winner received $25 from Fulton County 4-H Federation. Each additional club participating in the window display contest will receive a gift to share at their next monthly meeting.
Honorable Mention went to the Busy Bees with their display at MidAmerica National Bank; the Jolly Workers with their display at Prairie State Bank & Trust, both located in Lewistown; and the Fairview Huskies with their display at Fairview State Banking Company in Fairview. The Fulton County 4-H Program appreciates these businesses allowing the displays at their locations.
All five 4-H clubs will receive special recognition for their 4-H promotional work at the Achievement Program / Volunteer Recognition Event which to be held on October 19, 2025, at the Donaldson Community Center in Canton.
