Dina Pettit became an Extension Master Naturalist volunteer in 2013 and joined the Extension staff in January 2022.

Dina graduated from Mills College in Oakland, California with a BA degree in Biology. She has done many jobs over the years but her main interests have been in animal care and wildlife biology. She has worked as a veterinary technician and a zookeeper and has participated in wildlife research projects. She also currently works as a Biological Field Technician for an environmental consulting company.

She continues to volunteer as an Extension Master Naturalist. Her main project is monitoring bluebird nest boxes in Pekin, Illinois where she lives. She enjoys camping, hiking, and exploring.
