Karate is an "empty - hand" weaponless martial art. Students learn karate defensive techniques such as blocking, punching, kicking, evasion from attack, dangerous situation avoidance, common sense self-defense and much more.
The class meets every Thursday night at 6 PM at the Kickapoo Township Hall. Cost of the class is $20 4-H Program Fee plus $40 Karate Club Fee for each 12 week session. For more information or to register, call U of I Extension, Peoria branch office at 309-685-3140.
