Fulton County 4-H Shooting Sports is a Special Interest (SPIN) 4-H Club, shorter in duration, and focusing on one subject.
Disciplines offered include:
- Air Rifle (limit 8 people) - ages 8 to 18 - held in Lewistown - 1 p.m.
- .22 Caliber (limit 5 people) - ages 10 to 18 - held in Canton - 1 p.m.
- Smallbore (.22) Rifle (limit 5 people) - ages 10 to 18 - held in Canton - 2 p.m.
- Shotgun (limit 20 people) - ages 10 to 18 - held in St. David - 4 p.m.
Mandatory Safety Meeting – April 6, 6:30 p.m. at U of I Extension office in Lewistown. Those who attended a Safety meeting in a previous session for the same discipline are not required to attend. If you are enrolling in a new discipline this session, you must attend the Safety meeting.
Spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis. To reserve your spot, the Extension office must have your completed paperwork and payment.
All firearms are provided. The only participants who are allowed to bring their own are the advanced members who have permission from the instructors.
Participants will be given eye and ear protection, which they will be responsible for bringing each time to use. If weather causes cancellations, additional dates will be set.
Archery – A unit-wide Archery 4-H Club is being offered during the Spring 2022 season. It is held in Pekin and the first session is Sunday, April 24. Details at go.illinois.edu/4HArcheryInPekin
