Learn about your land.  This field day allows participants to take an in-person look at forest management techniques.  Learn how to identify the trees within your woodland, determine the first steps to take in managing your forest, and learn new ways to invite wildlife and cultivate non-timber products that could bring in revenue. Vendors will be there to discuss resources that can assist you.  Speakers are experts from Iowa DNR, Missouri Department of Conservation, IL DNR, Iowa National Wild Turkey Federation, MO Extension, IL Extension and private industry.

Workshop topics include:

  • Forest management
  • Non-timber forest products
  • Wildlife habitat and tree identification
  • Timber sales and stewardship plans
  • Forest health issues
