Tech Explorers 2.0 is a 6-part special interest (SPIN) club that teaches technology and "maker" principles with hands-on activities. This session, learn engineering and bridge design, create games with a 3-D printer, and work with Makey Makey technology. New members welcome.
Participants should bring a laptop and be able to download programs. Makey Makey, 3-D printers, and other materials provided.
Ages: 9-18 (as of 9/1/22)
Meetings:
- 1/6 | 6-8 pm. | Engineering and bridge design
- 1/7 | 10 a.m. to noon | Pasta bridge breaking
- 1/26 and 2/2 | 5-7 p.m. | 3-D printing sessions
- 2/21 and 2/28| 5:30-7:30 p.m. | Makey Makey sessions
Location: Kendall County Extension Office, 7775B IL Route 47, Yorkville, IL 60560
Cost to participate: $40* includes 4-H enrollment
- *This enrollment cost is required only once per 4-H year per youth. If already an enrolled/paid member for 2022-23 4-H year, the cost for this program is $20.
