Have an air fryer and are unsure how to use it? Have you thought about purchasing one but are not sure about the benefits? February is heart health month and a great time to learn how to cook heart-smart using this modern kitchen appliance.

Join Extension and Decatur Memorial Hospital for this hands-on class, where participants will use different models of air fryers and learn how to prepare healthy meals quickly and efficiently. We will also touch on cooking with different kinds of fats and following a heart-healthy lifestyle. Participants will walk away with increased knowledge about cooking food safely in an air fryer, preparing heart-healthy meals, and receiving tasty recipes! Participants will get to make various foods using an air fryer and go around and taste-test different recipes other participants make.

This class is offered at no cost, but registration is required by Monday, February 20, 2023.

Please email Caitlin Mellendorf or call 217.877.6042 with questions.

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please contact the event coordinator via email or by calling 217.877.6042. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet your needs, when possible.
