Fabric Fanatics 4-H Club will host a workshop and community service project on Saturday, Oct. 19. Participants (ages 8-18) will be making Ice Pack Covers and Fabric Fidgets to donate to local charities.
This workshop is intended for youth who have experience with using a sewing machine to sew straight seams. Bring your own machine or use one of ours. Adult caregivers are encouraged to join in. No need to be a member to participate. Come to one or both sessions.
Experience Level: Participants should know how to use a sewing machine to sew straight stitches
Ages: 8-18 (as of 9/1/24)
Meets: 9:30-11:30 a.m. and/or 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19
Location: Kane County Extension Office, 535 S Randall Rd, St. Charles
Cost: Free
Important notes:
- Class is for those who have previously used a sewing machine to sew straight stitches.
- No need to be a 4-H member to participate.
- Bring a machine from home or use one of ours.
- Adult attendance with youth is encouraged.
- Space is limited. Registration required.
