Jo Elyn Smith began her career providing nutrition education through University of Illinois Extension EFNEP. In 2021, she transitioned into a SNAP-Ed position. Her work is focused in Peoria County. She teaches both youth and adults at partnering agencies, after school programs, and food pantries.
JoElyn reaches people in the Peoria community to help them better understand what tools they need to become healthier. This is important to her because each person she reaches is different in what they need to become healthier.
