DANVILLE, Ill — Feeling overwhelmed by the leftovers in your fridge and clutter? This double feature talk tackles both! Illinois Extension's Family Life and Nutrition and Wellness Teams are bringing an exciting double feature to the Danville Public Library, 319 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61832, at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2.
First up at 9 a.m., "Cooking for One or Two," with Nutrition and Wellness Educator Rachel Mannen, will show you how to eat healthy without leaving a mountain of leftovers. Attendees will learn how to adjust recipes to feed one or two easily. "Cooking for one or two can feel daunting," says Mannen, "but it doesn't have to be. This class is designed to break down those barriers and show you how to whip up delicious, perfectly portioned, healthy meals."
Following a short break, "Where to Start: Decluttering Your Home and Finances" with Family Life Educator Emily Harmon will begin. This program will help you simplify your space and finances. "Clutter can be a major source of mental and financial stress," says Harmon. "By learning effective decluttering techniques, you can free up space in your home and potentially save money on unnecessary items."
