Interested in expanding the use of native flora in your yard or garden? East Central Illinois Master Naturalists (ECIMN) is hosting a native tree and shrub sale. Our soil and climate have tested these plants for 8,000 years, it's a good bet they will work for you! The way it works is that you have August 1 - September 28 to research, plan, order, and pay for your selection of native trees and/or shrubs and we will have them available for pick up in October when it is the perfect time for planting. This plant sale is co-sponsored by the Champaign County Conservation and Design Foundation.
Plants cost $25 each including tax. All plants come in special 5-gallon containers which are designed to encourage numerous roots but inhibit circling roots. No chemicals (such as copper) are used to enhance a fibrous root system. We guarantee that plants have been inspected for pests and health, but can not guarantee replacement after the plant leaves our sale. Plant material is inspected, certified, and sourced from Possibility Place Nursery. Our supplier is not endorsed or affiliated with the University of Illinois Extension or the Illinois Master Naturalist program
Orders will be accepted until 9/28/2020. Supplies are limited and orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis. Sales are open to the public.
Your order will be available for contactless pickup in Mid-October and pickup will be in Urbana, Illinois. We will be contacting folks with specific pick up times and further details at a later time. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Amanda at achriste@illinois.edu or at 217-333-7672
