We are excited to be offering STEM Academy again this year, through the collaboration of Pearl Technology, Richwoods Township, Caterpillar, and University of Illinois Extension. The theme is AI Learning: Build Your Own Voice Assistant.

Are you looking for an exciting new way to learn about artificial intelligence(AI)? This academy will allow students to build their own voice assistant, explore Chat GPT, and learn about AI. Students will get hands-on experience with machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics, all while creating their project. This year’s STEM Academy will also educate students about ethics in using artificial intelligence. Students will hear from leaders in the field of machine learning, as well as others who navigate the use of ChatGPT and other voice assistants.

STEM Academy is set for July 17-20, from 9 a.m. to Noon at Goodwill Commons, 2319 E War Memorial Dr, Peoria, IL 61614.  Registration deadline is July 1, but spaces fill fast, so be sure to sign up soon! STEM Academy is open to youth entering 6th-8th grades.
