U of I Extension 4-H staff to host YQCA training

LEWISTOWN, Ill. - University of Illinois Extension, Fulton County, will host an in-person YQCA – Youth for the Quality Care of Animals training, on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Extension office in Lewistown. The class starts at 10 a.m. and both online preregistration and payment of $3 per youth is required prior to April 7.

4-H members enrolled in Beef, Sheep, Swine, Goat, and Dairy (if showing live animals) must complete this training every year they are in the project to be able to show and be 4-H premium eligible. Parents may sign their child(ren) up for the instructor led training at yqcaprogarm.org/ and select the Fulton County YQCA Training 2023 / April 7th option. All 4-H members and other interested youth who need to complete this statewide requirement for Beef, Sheep, Swine, Goat, and Dairy are encouraged to preregister and attend this training in Fulton County.
