Since 2012, Caitlin Mellendorf, MS, RD, has served as a Nutrition and Wellness Educator in DeWitt, Macon, and Piatt counties. She teaches community classes about nutrition for diabetes and heart disease, home and restaurant food safety, canning and home food preservation, and general food skills like cooking, shopping, and budgeting.
A graduate of Family and Consumer Sciences programs with a focus in nutrition and dietetics from Illinois State University and Eastern Illinois University, Mellendorf explains up-to-date nutrition knowledge, skills, and tools that support individuals and families on their health and nutrition journeys.
