Mason State Tree Nursery Tour for Master Gardeners and Naturalists

FMPT Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists are invited to attend a tour of Mason State Nursery.

Mason State Nursery is Illinois’ only state owned and operated tree nursery, producing native Illinois eco-type tree seedlings, prairie plants, and wildflower seed. Mason State Nursery partners with Project Wingspan, a multi-year project by the Pollinator Partnership, who leads a coalition of partners in an effort to enhance land across the Midwest to support imperiled pollinators. This will be a great time to see spring activities at the nursery, including seedling harvesting and shipment, along with learning how you can volunteer with Project Wingspan. Please wear shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty as it is a very busy time at the nursery and conditions may be dusty.
