Join Instructor, Chris Evans, Forestry Extension & Research Specialist with the University of Illinois Extension, for a hands-on, outdoor field training for Chainsaw Safety.

Participants will receive training in the safe use of chainsaws, selecting and using safety gear and an opportunity to practice these skills with an expert. 

With only 10 seats available, this training will fill to capacity. Register right away.

Participants are required to:

• Wear long pants and sturdy leather boots.
• Bring a sack lunch and water container. 

Optional

• Bring chainsaws and PPE (chaps, helmets, hearing & eye protection). If you don't have them, we will provide them for you.
• Bring a camping chair to use on breaks.
