Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a licensed wildlife rehabilitator or what you should do when you find an injured or orphaned animal?

Join us for our November Master Naturalist meeting as fellow Master Naturalist volunteer Carla Presnell gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the world of wildlife rehabilitation!

Carla will share what wildlife rehabilitation involves, the requirements for becoming licensed, and some of the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for wildlife. We'll also learn how to locate a licensed rehabilitator, what to do (and what not to do!) when encountering an animal in need, and what rehabilitators can and cannot do. Along the way, Carla will share personal stories and plenty of animal photos!

Connect, Share & Get Involved!
We'll also set aside time to network, catch up, and hear about the great work our Master Naturalists are doing throughout our communities!

Have a project, volunteer opportunity, workday, or upcoming event to share? We'd love to hear about it! You're welcome to give a brief update or bring information to share with fellow volunteers. If you would like handouts printed for the meeting, please contact Brittany ahead of time so we can have them ready.

Help Shape Our 2027 Meetings!
As we look ahead to another year of learning, volunteering, and connecting, we'd love your input!
Start thinking about topics you'd like to explore, places you'd like to visit, or speakers you'd like to hear from. If you have a special interest or area of expertise you'd enjoy presenting on, we'd love to hear from you, too!

We're also hoping to form a Master Naturalist Meeting Planning Team to help brainstorm and organize next year's gatherings. From educational presentations and field experiences to the possibility of a group bus trip, there are plenty of opportunities to get creative!

Whether you're interested in helping plan or simply have an idea to share, your input is welcome.

We hope you'll join us for an afternoon of wildlife stories, meaningful connections, and planning for the year ahead!
If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please contact
