This course introduces you to the safety of fresh produce on the farm, and briefly covers topics including sources of contamination on the farm and how to manage them, an overview of the Food Safety Modernization Act Produce Safety Rule, and things to consider when obtaining Group-GAP certification. As you go through the course, you will find text to read, videos to watch, and activities to complete.

Growers of fresh fruits and vegetables, with less than $31,000 in average annual sales are encouraged to take this course.
