Elaine earned her Master of Science in Education (Educational and Interdisciplinary Studies) from Western Illinois University in 2015 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University).

Since fall 2023, she has served as a 4-H Youth Development Educator with University of Illinois Extension, where she designs and delivers research-based programming that empowers young people to build leadership, life skills, and confidence through hands-on learning experiences.

Elaine brings a diverse background in non-traditional education and community-based programming. She previously worked as an educator with several Quad Cities cultural institutions, including Niabi Zoo, Quad City Botanical Center, and the Figge Art Museum, where she developed engaging, experiential programs that connected youth and families to art, science, and the natural world. She also served in academic and administrative support roles at Western Illinois University–Quad Cities.

Her work is grounded in the arts, mindfulness, and social-emotional learning, and she is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where youth can lead, learn, and serve. Elaine is especially committed to expanding access to high-quality youth development opportunities across the metro area and helping young people discover their strengths and potential.
