Karen Weigelt began with University of Illinois Extension in 2023.  She works on a variety of projects, including the Master Naturalist and Master Gardener programs in Fulton, Mason, Peoria, and Tazewell counties.  She has a passion for working with students and volunteers of all ages through environmental education.

Weigelt earned her Bachelor of Science in Forestry at Iowa State University.  She has experience in forestry and environmental education through both public and private sectors. She is so happy to be able to help others expand their passion for nature.
