University of Illinois Extension has put together a fun virtual wellness challenge to inspire healthy lifestyles during the month of April for our service area of Henry, Mercer, Rock Island and Stark counties. Each week participants will receive a new BINGO card with a variety of activities to promote healthy habits at home. Don’t let social distancing get in the way of your wellness goals! The BINGO card activities incorporate all dimensions of wellness.
Here's how it works. You sign up to participate using the registration link.
We will email you a new BINGO card on the Monday of each week of the challenge:
- Week 1: April 6th- 12th
- Week 2: April 13th- 19th
- Week 3: April 20th- 26th
- Week 4: April 27th- May 3rd
Game rules: Complete the activities to get a BINGO (diagonal, horizontal or vertical). Challenge yourself to see how many activities you can complete! For each BINGO you'll get 1 entry into the weekly drawing (2 BINGOs = 2 entries, etc). Complete all the activities on the card (black out) for 5 entries into the weekly drawing! NOTE: Everyone is welcome to participate, but prizes will only be awarded to residents from Henry, Mercer, Rock Island or Stark Counties.
When: Each weekly challenge begins at 8:00 am Monday and ends at 5:00 pm Sunday. You will need to fill in the activity checklist form we send you to indicate which activities you've completed in order to be included in the prize drawing. All forms must be turned in before 5pm Sunday. There will be 1 prize drawing each week and winners will get to pick from the prizes listed here:
- Mindfulness Journal
- Lintelek Fitness Tracker (available in blue, pink, purple, red or black)
- Sun Care Pack with Sunscreen, Cool Down Lotion, SPF lip balm and Travel Bag
- Color Changing Himalayan Salt Lamp
Prizes will be shipped directly to your house from Amazon. Winners will be announced on the following Monday (April 13, April 20, April 27, May 4) (again, only participants from Henry, Mercer, Rock Island or Stark counties will be eligible to win a prize.)
