Disaster Ready Quad Cities is offering the Volunteer Reception Center Training Workshop for individuals in the Quad Cities Region. This training and exercise will provide participants from local agencies and organizations that have a role in coordinating and/or utilizing spontaneous volunteers during a disaster. Participants will have the opportunity to work together as a unified team in establishing, managing, and demobilizing a Volunteer Reception Center.

The training will be led by Abby Lillpop, National EDEN (Extension Disaster Education Network) Project Coordinator, Purdue University Extension Disaster Specialist, Indiana VOA Vice President.
