As a part of Climate Action Week with the East Central Illinois Master Naturalists, Extension Educator Karla Griesbaum will be leading a field-based hike and discussing the effect of climate change on local ecosystems. This will take place at Weaver Park, 2205 E Main St, Urbana, IL 61802, and include a discussion on wetlands, prairie, forest, and agricultural ecosystems and how they are being affected by climate change, what to expect in the future, and what we can do as individuals to help mitigate climate change.
The hike will take place from 2 - 3 p.m. Meet in the main street parking lot. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Space is limited, so register before October 5.
