4-H Youth Ready to Showcase Their Knowledge at the Henry County Fair in Cambridge, IL

Cambridge, Ill— Local 4-H participants embrace the “learn by doing” philosophy, and the fair provides them with an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they’ve acquired during their time in 4-H. General projects will be judged on Saturday, June 15, prior to the fair’s opening. These projects span over 150 different areas, including sewing, cooking, horticulture, drones, woodworking, civics, rock collecting, rockets, visual arts, and more. Throughout the fair week, these projects will be on display in the Art Hall building. Additionally, the 4-H Dog Show will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The fair opens to the public on Tuesday, June 18, and runs through Sunday, June 23. 4-H youth who raise beef, swine, sheep, goats, dairy, and poultry for their annual projects will have shows that the public can attend. The Henry County 4-H also operates a food stand, offering lemonade shakes, hamburgers, ribeye sandwiches, chips, candy, soda, and other items. Proceeds from the food stand support local 4-H clubs.
